Employment agreement (ET006)

Employers should use this employment agreement when taking on new members of staff, either full-time or part-time. This agreement must be given to the employee within two months of starting. Failure to provide employees with a written statement of certain specific details of their employment within two months is unlawful. This agreement covers issues such as remuneration, bonuses, pensions, annual leave entitlement, lay-offs, references, illness and medical reports, company cars, restrictive covenants, disciplinary procedures, confidentiality, share option schemes, home working, teleworking and part-time working, among other matters. This agreement should be used in conjunction with an employee handbook containing more detailed HR and employment policies. You can use LawOnline's 'Employee handbook' (EP004) document for this purpose.
